SUMMER!
School days are done and only finals remain at Divine Child. Students plan to make the most of this summer. Whether it’s swimming at the pool or going on mission trips, this summer is going to be one to remember. Student will be participating in both spiritual events and going on vacations. When sophomore Julie Bonk what spiritual event she will be participating in she replied, “I will be going on a mission trip in Manistique, MI.” The mission trip is though her youth group at St. Michael in Livonia. What are people doing at home? When sophomore Carly Divis was asked this question, she replied, “I’m going to be playing basketball and hanging out with friends.” When I asked Carly if she had to do anything for school she said, “I have to read my summer reading books.” Summer reading is one of the last thing kids want to do in the summer. However, I if you break it up and do a little bit each day, it’s not that bad. It is also idea to get some service hours done during the summer so you don’t have to do as many during the busy school year. This summer is going to be great. For some students it might be relaxing and for others it might be filled with new experiences. When freshman Natalie Berry was asked what this summer is going to be like she said, “It’s going to be memorable.” So go out and have fun and most importantly be safe!
